Kettlebells Defined |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A kettlebell is a bowling ball shaped weight with a thick, sausage-like handle welded to it. The unique, off-centered nature of the kettlebell challenges the user’s body in a way that no other weight training device can. It has been part of Slavic strength training for ages, and even the ancient Chinese used a similar kind of training method and device with their stone padlocks. Unlike western style weightlifting, many of the most useful Russian kettlebell training exercises are ballistic in nature, like the swing, clean, high pull, and snatch. Other exercises, such as the Turkish Get-Up, are performed with very slow, precise movements, concentrating on perfect technique through a wide range of motion. Regardless of what exercise your kettlebell rehabilitation specialist prescribes, you'll find that the exercises are remarkably effective in helping you regain functionality, strength, and coordination in your movements. Designed by Pavel Tsatsouline himself, the father of the modern kettlebell movement, kettlebells manufactured by Dragon Door are the highest quality kettlebells out on the market today.
